Roula’s Kids received a generous grant in March 2024 from ALEX CARES for Grieving Youth Inc. This grant will help Roula’s Kids, our newly established nonprofit, to grow its wings and steady its ability to provide and sustain grief groups for children and families in the Hudson Valley.

Amy Liebman Rapp, Founder of ALEX CARES, combines her hands-on experience with childhood and young adult bereavement as well as her keen strategic vision, to collaborate with and mentor not for profit organizations so they can expand their reach and impact.

This grant enables us to increase our staffing to include a clinician and two bereavement assistants. The clinician will provide a teen group and a caregiver group. The bereavement assistants will support the overall functioning of our groups.

Providing care to as many family members as possible after a death helps improve everyone’s well-being. No family needs to grieve alone or be denied services due to a lack of financial resources.

We are grateful to Amy and ALEX CARES for their support, and we appreciate that they value this important work!!

The Old Dutch Church has made our program possible through donating their space for our use. All programming takes place there and they have also made their space available for our fundraisers. All the staff there have been so generous with their support. We are especially grateful to the consistory and congregation of Old Dutch Church.

First Capital Poke Bar not only donated generous amount of food to Roula's Kids first wellness fundraiser, but also provided a beautiful basket filled with goodies for the event’s raffle. We are beyond grateful for charitable businesses that allow Roula’s Kids to provide help to families at no cost!
